When I think about birthday cake, I immediately think of chocolate cake so this recipe is super chocolaty and has a festive look. Plus, who doesn't love birthday cake? (Even if it's not your birthday, cake is always a good idea!)
If you received my first newsletter, then you know I promised you I would share this special birthday cake recipe. My birthday was already last week, as was my husband's, we were born just a day apart (in different years though) so it was a weekend filled with celebrations and happiness.
Because our birthdays fall so close to Passover we needed a flourless cake, and to top it all off, it's also vegan and parve so you can have during the holiday after eating meat (if you stick to the separation).
I loaded the cake with decorations just for the festivity; you can also have the cake with just frosting and no added decorations.
