Gluten Free Latkes

Gluten-free and also grain-free Hanukkah latkes made with carrots and sweet potato. Delicious addition to your latkes bouffe.

  • 1 medium sweet potato (2 cups grated)
  • 2 carrots (2 cups grated)
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ teaspoon sweet paprika
  • Salt and pepper by your taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying


  • Grate the sweet potato and carrots.
  • Place the grated vegetables in a bowl and add the eggs and spices.
  • Mix the batter well.
  • With your hands, create the latkes and place on a plate.
  • Heat a pan with any vegetable oil you prefer.
  • Fry each latke for 1-2 minutes on each side.
  • Serve the latkes hot or cold with your favorite dip.
