Cabbage Salad

  • 1 white cabbage
  • 1 small red cabbage
  • 2 carrots shredded
  • 2 green onions cut thinly
  • 2 tablespoon sesame

For the dressing:

  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 6 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoon date syrup (Silan)
  • 2 tablespoon demerara sugar
  • 2 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 tablespoon white wine vinegar
  • A pinch of black pepper


  • Start with the cabbage- cut them into thin strips and place them in a large bowl- large enough so that it will be easy to mix the salad into.
  • Add the salt to the bowl and mix very well - you can also do it with your hands.
  • Let the cabbage sit for 60 minutes. After 60 minutes, strain the bowl from water completely. Now the cabbage is ready for the salad.
  • Add the carrots, green onions, and sesame to the bowl.
  • In a small bowl, mix all of the dressing ingredients and pour over the salad.
  • Enjoy!
