How to cut a mango

If you've ever struggled with cutting a mango efficiently while preserving its succulent flesh, worry not! In this step-by-step guide, I'll walk you through the art of cutting mango slices like a pro.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 mango (ripe but firm)

Instructions
 

  • Peel the mango using a peeler.
  • Stand the mango upright on your cutting board.
  • Using a sharp knife, make a vertical cut slightly off-center, avoiding the large pit in the center. This cut will determine the side of the mango where the pit lies.
  • Repeat the same cut on the opposite side of the pit, creating two large mango halves or as I like to call them cheeks.
  • Place one mango half flat-side down on the cutting board and slice it horizontally into thin slices.
  • Repeat with the other half.
  • Arrange the slices nicely on a plate and enjoy!
