They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. You should have a healthy breakfast to nourish your body with some good vitamins and minerals. Well, this recipe doesn’t really match a healthy breakfast, BUT they also say that happiness lowers your risk of cardiovascular disease and lowers your blood pressure. And, well, these waffles really made me happy! LOL
This waffles recipe is perfect for a sweet bite in the morning. They are fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside, just what you want in waffles! The waffles have a classic vanilla flavor with chocolate chips for extra deliciousness. You can also use peanut butter chips if you have any.

Waffles and pancakes usually follow similar recipes with much of the same ingredients. The difference, as I see it, is that the waffles are made in a waffle iron so there’s no need to fry anything and use the stovetop then that's already better. Plus, waffles make a few in every batch (depending on the shape and size of your waffle iron) and pancakes are usually made one by one. Unless you decide to have a few skillets going at the same time, but who wants more dishes to wash? So waffles are easier to make in my opinion and cause less mess in the kitchen but you can also use this recipe to make pancakes – your choice.
Sometimes waffle recipes call for separating eggs and whipping the egg whites. I don’t like the extra step and I don’t think there is much difference either way so I just use the whole eggs as they are.
To make these waffles you will need all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, milk (dairy or non-dairy), salt, butter, vanilla, eggs, and chocolate chips.
Now, to get started, you need to spray the waffle iron with cooking spray and preheat it. Then you mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl. Add the wet ingredients to the bowl and mix. Lastly, add the chocolate chips and mix well. Ladle the batter to the hot waffle iron. Cook the waffles by the manufactory directions. And most important, eat immediately!

For serving, I like to add maple syrup and cut fruits. Any fruit you like can work. The waffles alone aren’t that sweet because they don’t contain a lot of sugar (beside the chocolate chips) so any toping can add more sweetness. If you want to add other toping go ahead and enjoy.

The recipe yields approximately 6 waffles, it depends on your waffle iron size.
