Introducing a vibrant and delicious way to start your day – my Beet Latte recipe! If you're looking for a unique twist on your morning routine, this colorful beverage is sure to catch your attention. With just a handful of simple ingredients, you can create a visually stunning and satisfying drink that's as tasty as it is eye-catching.

Pink coffee
Just like the matcha green tea drink, this beautiful pink beet latte has such an appealing look.
Like most people, I love coffee and can’t function without it but I also like to explore new flavors and recipes, just like any foodie. Now, this drink may be called latte but it has nothing to do with coffee, actually. It is simply a great alternative if you are looking for something other than coffee or tea to drink all day long. Since it's not made with coffee, it is free of caffeine and that's already a better solution. It does have a beet flavor that you can taste so if you’re not a beet fan then you might be disappointed here. This earthy, healthy taste may not be for everyone, but if you’re open-minded then why not give it a try?
Ingredients
My beet latte is made with beet powder, boiling water, sugar, and foamed milk. I make foamed milk with my Nespresso milk frother, or with my battery-operated handheld frother that you can see in the video. However, you can create the foam any way you like.
Additionally, you can add any kind of sweetener like sugar, brown sugar, honey, maple syrup, etc, or with no sweetener at all. It’s up to you but I do recommend adding a bit of sugar.

Beet powder
You can even whip this drink up with beet juice instead of powder and water but you need to warm it up first. Another option is to cook a beet and make a puree. I think I chose the easiest way as it doesn’t involve any cooking efforts or spending hours in the kitchen for one drink.
Beet powder can also be used as a healthy addition to smoothies or other dishes and can be a natural food color if needed. There are many benefits to consuming beet powder like lowering your blood pressure. And it has many vitamins and minerals and is low in calories and fat. Overall, this gorgeous drink can be the ultimate healthy choice when you need something refreshing!
Lastly, my beet latte is vegan and therefore, dairy free as I used soy milk. You can use any type of milk that you want, of course.

Tips to help you make the perfect beet latte
Quality Beet Powder
Choose a high-quality beet powder for the best flavor and color. Look for beet powders that are 100% pure and free from additives or preservatives.
Adjust Sweetness
The amount of sugar in your beet latte is a matter of personal preference. Start with the recommended amount, and then adjust to suit your taste. You can use honey, maple syrup, or a sugar substitute if you prefer.
Frothing Milk
To create a creamy milk foam, use a frother or steam wand if you have one. If not, you can also heat the milk in a saucepan and whisk it vigorously until frothy. The foam adds a delightful texture to your latte.
Hot Water Temperature
Make sure your water is boiling when you pour it over the beet powder and sugar. This helps to dissolve the ingredients and extract the beet flavor effectively.
Mixing
Stir the beet powder and sugar thoroughly into the boiling water to ensure they are well combined. This will help create a consistent color and flavor throughout the latte.
Presentation
Serve your beet latte in a clear glass or mug to showcase its vibrant color. The rich pink hue is not only delicious but visually appealing as well.
