After all the scrumptious cake and dessert recipes I post here, I wanted to write about something a little more light and healthy – but still insanely tasty. Salad for dinner is always a nice alternative, especially in the heat of summer when all you want is a light and easy meal. Usually, most of us make salad only with vegetables; however adding just one fruit can really lift and improve the overall taste. When you pick a pear, try to use one where the "neck" is softer - that means that the pear is ready to eat. If a pear is too solid then not only is it not ready for consumption, but it also won’t taste nice.
