Fall is here and there are pumpkins everywhere! Pumpkin Spice Latte is the ultimate fall drink that you should try...that is if you’re one of the few people who is yet to sip this delicious drink! Think of it like this, it will boost your typical morning cup of coffee thanks to its warm flavor and soothing aroma.

A Latte is a coffee drink made with espresso and steamed milk. The name is derived from the Italian word and it literally translates to "milk".

The Pumpkin Spice Latte was invented by Starbucks and has many homemade versions. After I shared a homemade pumpkin spice recipe, I figured I should put it to the test. My recipe includes a Nespresso coffee that I drink daily at home, complete with some milk foam that I make with the Nespresso milk frother. I added pumpkin puree to my Pumpkin Spice Latte, some versions are only with the pumpkin spice and no actual pumpkin. Now I think that kind of misses the point if you just add the spice but not the pumpkin!

I garnished my drink with a cinnamon stick and sprinkled some more pumpkin spice on top. Because the main spice in the mix of pumpkin spice is cinnamon, it adds a simple yet appropriate touch - plus, it’s kind of cool stirring the drink with a cinnamon stick. If you prefer, you can garnish with some whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream to make the drink even more decadent. Just be sure to use a bigger mug so you have space for it!

The amount of sugar in the recipe is up to you - I added 2 teaspoons but you can add more or less according to your taste which is always better with homemade versions of food and drinks.

You can make the drink in a cup to go and enjoy it on a chilly morning on your way to work, I know I would!

The recipe yields one cup if you need more, just double or triple the ingredients.

The recipe is very easy and simple, as always, and the drink is absolutely delicious! Check it out below!
