Why this bliss ball recipe works

These bliss balls are a great way to enjoy a small sweet treat without feeling guilty!

Nuts and seeds are a great addition to a vegan diet or for anyone looking to eat healthier since they provide numerous health benefits.

The pistachios and dates make up the base of these delicious teen-tiny little bites and are high in fiber, antioxidants, and vitamins. Matcha powder adds an energizing boost that helps you stay fueled throughout the day. Coconut oil gives an extra creaminess while also adding healthy fats. Finally, shredded coconut and pomegranate seeds add a nutritious boost of flavor as well as crunchiness. The green color in these energy balls is from the pistachios and matcha green tea powder. The balls are covered with unsweetened shredded coconut and garnished with pomegranate seeds. Obviously, they taste delicious and have a lovely look!

All of this makes for a perfect treat to indulge in!

This bliss ball recipe is very easy and quick. In 25 minutes, you can have this sweet treat ready for your guests (or just for yourself!). You can also use them as a gift to give someone you love - homemade edible gifts are the best.

Tips for making the best bliss balls

Here are some of the best tips for making these sweet vegan bliss balls...

    Adjust sweetness

If you find the date, maple syrup and pistachio base too sweet, add a few teaspoons of cocoa powder to balance out the sweetness. Or you can add a bit less maple syrup by your taste. If you add cocoa powder the outcome color will be less greener.

    Make them your own

Feel free to add any type of nut or seed that you have on hand. You can also use different types of dried fruit, like cranberries, apricots, and figs.

    Keep them in the fridge

These bliss balls taste best when kept chilled in the refrigerator until you’re ready to enjoy them. This also helps them last longer, up to a week!

    Additional toppings

You can top your bliss balls with other nuts and seeds like chia, flaxseed, or almonds. You can also add a few tablespoons of melted dark chocolate or cocoa nibs to make them even richer and more indulgent.
