For this recipe, I collaborated with Chloe from
bakedbyclo.com and our theme was Christmas sweets!
Chloe created a vegan pavlova recipe, whereas I whipped up healthy and delicious bliss balls.
There’s nothing quite like the holidays. Everyone is running around getting the perfect gifts, bundled up tight against the cold, and of course, spending time with family and friends. Why not indulge those intimate and jolly family moments with healthy and delicious Bliss Balls? 'Tis the season!
Bliss Balls is a general name for these little, sweet, and healthy snacks. Usually Bliss Balls include seeds and nuts, which are important for people on a vegan diet or for those who want to eat better, clean food. These delicious teeny-tiny little bites are packed with protein-rich nuts and their sweetness comes from soft, juicy dates. All of this makes for a perfect Christmas treat!
My recipe for Bliss Balls come out green and I serve them in the shape of a Christmas tree, just for the sake of festivity. The green color in the Bliss Balls is from the pistachios and matcha green tea powder. This delicious treat also contains coconut butter, coconut oil, pitted dates, shredded coconut and maple syrup. You can add more or less maple syrup by your taste. The Bliss Balls are covered with more shredded coconut and garnished with pomegranate seeds to make it look like a decorated Christmas tree. Obviously, they taste delicious and have a lovely Christmassy look!
The recipe is very easy and quick, in 20 minutes you can have this sweet treat ready for your guests. You can also use them as a gift to give someone you love - homemade edible gifts are the best!
I hope you enjoy my Christmas Bliss Ball recipe:
